Supa Ngwao Museum in Francistown

Supa Ngwao Museum is Francistown's only museum.

It started in 1986 as a mobile museum and by 1992 it moved to its current location.

The main purpose of the museum is to preserve historical information of Francistown and its surrounding villages as well as the ancient inhabitants of the above mentioned regions.

This is achieved by collecting and storing historical items such as....

  • Old pictures
  • Crafts such as pots, other cooking utensils, weaved baskets and musical instruments
  • Old farming equipment

....and much more!

All the above are displayed at the museum for your viewing pleasure.
